We are about to step out and fly to K?ln to spend xmas with my cousin who has recently settled in there. It's a good chance to see family/friends and experience the zero degree temps that will surely make this place feel warmer when we return.
Not much time to be loquacious, but I wanted to upload a few images of the recent work, this one above a little older and the next are of a work in progress:
These jpegs aren't electrifying me, it's better in person...
This drawing might show the roadmap.
Here is how big this beast is.
Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Hello Scott:
Nice to make your acquaintance!
My cousin is just settling into her place here in Germany and I was bummed until I happened to find a local network to piggy back. Such an outlaw pirate feeling! The connection is shakey though.
This is the first I've heard of this mention in A&A. Can you provide any details?
Happy holidays!
-Dennis
Er, a correction to the comment, it's supposed to read:
"My cousin is just settling into her place here in Germany and she has yet to set up a braodband connection....."
hello Dennis - I visited your Chinatown studio once with Kevin O-S back in 2001 and happened to trip over your blog just the other day. Your paintings look juicy and fat. Kudos! And as long as you are in Koln, please stop by Galerie Brigitte Schenk where I am having a painting exhibition of my own through Jan. Drink a Kolsh for me! Yours - DH

Dennis, thank you for a wild trip through all the archives--yes, every single one of them. And my hand looks like a sea crab--there, it does straighten. Loved the August 2003 Luna something that you said you would give a broader view of next time. Didn't see it in September. No matter, it was long and one of my favorites--no absolutely my favorite. Love tripping through your wonderful life. Condolences on the death of your dad. Guess your father-in-law made out okay with the cancer so far. Hope so.
I find your work unique and exciting. Wonder about those pointy burrs I see and how you create them. If it your secret, that's fair dinkum. If you get a chance to look at my site, you will see that I am still doing abstract painting in my head exclusively. As soon as I decide where to go with it, I will begin. Next, I tackle the universe, which I have been painting in my head for two months now.
You probably get lots of mail, so I close by saying that you have created for yourself a grand life, as wonderful as "The Grand Tour" of centuries ago. Good for you, happy that you can see and share on this site. I will return at some point.
How did I find you, you may want to know. Your site was one of the Front Page "Art in the Blogosphere" in the latest ART IN AMERICA issue, next to the last one. I went through the ones that seemed interesting and yours was far and away my favorite and the only one to which I would return. Today, was my first visit to a blog. I loved yours for your art and art process and scenes of wonderful places and stories and the repeated shore scene--Tassa or something.
Have more fun in 2005! Blessings, Barbara Garro
